What does Windows 10 mean for you?

Windows 10 is an operating system that is intended to span all Windows devices, be they desktops, tablets or phones.  It is free to upgrade to Windows 10 from 7 or 8.1.  You should not attempt to upgrade your XP or VIsta PC: we recommend you replace it when it fails.

Some features of WIndows 10 include: the traditional Windows look, with what looks lke a reduced version of the Windows 8 desktop;  All Apps, in alphabetical order, rather than a list of programmes; Edge, the replacement for Internet Explorer; Cortana, an expanded search tool that can learn to recognise your voice as well as learn a lot about you (and is optional); a similar search to previously - click on the start button and start to type what you are looking for.

There is no CD for WIndows 10.  The idea is to upgrade, then create a copy of the OS on a flash drive.  The product key is your WIndows 7 or 8.1 key.

If you do not like Windows 10 and want to go back to Windows 7/8.1, this can be reversed within the first 30 days; after that you would need to do a total clean new install and rebuild of your PC (taking approx. 1.5 to 2 hours) using your Windows 7/8.1 OS licence key.

Eventually Microsoft may intend to support only one version of Windows...

Visit us at Waipapa to experience and see some of the new Windows 10 features first hand.  Ask and we will give personal professional advice on the best options available to you.
